Shipping Policy

Free LTL ground freight on all equipment orders to the contiguous United States

At Iron Elk Equipment, we're committed to delivering your equipment safely, on time, and with complete transparency.

Shipping Costs

Free Shipping: We offer Free Standard LTL Ground Freight on all equipment orders shipped to the contiguous United States (Lower 48 states).

Expedited Shipping: Expedited options may be available for select products/locations at an additional cost. Please email support@ironelkequipment.com before ordering to confirm availability and pricing.

Geographic Coverage

  • We currently ship only to the contiguous United States (Lower 48 states).
  • We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO/DPO, or P.O. Boxes.

Order Processing & Delivery Times

Your delivery timeline is the combination of Processing & Handling Time plus Transit Time.

Stage Estimated Timeframe Details
Order Confirmation Immediate Payment is pre-authorized, and a confirmation email is sent immediately after checkout.
Processing & Handling 3–5 Business Days Orders are typically processed, prepared for shipment, and dispatched within this time.
Transit Time (Standard LTL) 7–10 Business Days Standard LTL delivery after shipment, depending on destination and carrier capacity.
Total Estimated Delivery 10–15 Business Days The total time from purchase to delivery.

Tracking: We will email your tracking number / PRO as soon as your order ships. If you haven't received tracking within 7 business days of purchase, please contact our support team.

Freight & LTL Deliveries

Important: Many of our heavy equipment items ship via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight. Please read the following carefully.

  • Delivery Appointment: The carrier will often call you directly to schedule a delivery date and time window. Please ensure your contact phone number is accurate.
  • Curbside Delivery: Standard freight service is curbside delivery only. The carrier will bring the shipment to the end of your driveway or property.
  • Liftgate Service: If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, you will require liftgate service to lower the freight from the truck. This is an additional fee not included in the Free Shipping offer.

Potential Additional Carrier Fees

While standard LTL freight is free, certain services may result in extra fees billed by the carrier:

  • Liftgate service (if not requested at checkout)
  • Residential, rural, or limited-access delivery
  • Inside delivery
  • Re-delivery attempts (due to missed appointments or site restrictions)
  • Re-consignment (address changes after dispatch)

Damaged Shipments & Inspection

This step is required to process any claims. Failure to inspect and document damage at delivery may result in denied claims.

Inspect at Delivery

Before signing the delivery receipt (Bill of Lading / BOL), thoroughly inspect the packaging and product for any damage or shortages.

Note Damage on the BOL

If you find any damage, you must clearly note it on the delivery receipt/BOL and take detailed photographs. Claims not noted on the BOL may be denied.

Report Concealed Damage

For damage discovered after the driver leaves, notify us within 48 hours (no later than 7 calendar days) at support@ironelkequipment.com with photos and your order number.

Delays, Cancellations & Undeliverable Shipments

  • Delays: If a delay occurs outside of the estimated timeframe, we will email an updated delivery estimate.
  • Cancellations: Orders may be cancelled only if not yet shipped. Once in transit, the order is subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy.
  • Address Changes / Refused Shipments: Address changes after dispatch or missed appointments/refusals may incur carrier fees, which are the customer's responsibility.
